This legal notice is provided in accordance with Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE).
Privacy policy
Who is responsible
The data controller for your personal data is Poyais Invest SL, contactable at support@distilltube.com. We collect as little personal data as possible and never sell it.
What data we process
- Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password.
- If you sign in with Google: your email address, name, profile picture and Google account identifier, received from Google.
- Content you submit: the YouTube links and videos you choose to process, and the summaries, chapters, takeaways and chat messages generated from them.
- Technical data: your IP address, used briefly for security and rate limiting, and basic usage data needed to run the service.
Why we process it and on what legal basis
- To provide the service you request (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, for example rate limiting (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To send you optional email digests, only if you enable them in your settings (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Who receives your data (processors)
We use a small number of service providers strictly as processors acting on our behalf:
- Anthropic (AI processing of the content you submit, to generate summaries and chat answers).
- Resend (delivery of transactional and digest emails).
- Google (only if you use Google sign-in, and for retrieving publicly available video data via the official YouTube API).
- Hetzner (server hosting, located in Germany).
- Webshare (network proxy used when retrieving public video data).
International transfers
Some of these providers (for example Anthropic, Google and Resend) are based in or process data in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the providers' data processing terms and appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and the content you create until you delete them. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings, and we honour that deletion.
Cookies
We use only one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics or tracking cookies. Because the cookie is essential to provide the service, no cookie consent banner is required.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@distilltube.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD) or your local supervisory authority.

We will keep the current version of this notice on this page. Continued use of the service means you accept it.
